The Richmond Hill Residence gave Jessica Cinnamon Design the opportunity to deliver a complete residential interior for a family who had found their ideal location and were ready to invest in a home that matched their aspirations.

The project encompasses the full interior of a substantial family residence — a comprehensive scope that extended from initial spatial planning and finish selection through to custom millwork design, furniture specification, and final styling. The approach we took was consistent with the philosophy that underpins every JCD project regardless of location: listen deeply, design intentionally, and deliver a home that is as personal as it is beautiful.

The material palette for the Richmond Hill Residence was developed in close collaboration with our clients, who came to the project with a strong sense of the aesthetic direction they wanted to pursue. A warm, contemporary approach — natural materials, refined finishes, and a palette that avoids both the cold minimalism of industrial design and the visual busyness of more maximalist approaches — became the foundation of every subsequent decision. The kitchen features custom cabinetry designed and built to our specifications — combining generous storage with a visual elegance that makes the kitchen feel like a composed room rather than a collection of appliances and cabinets. A layered palette of soft, warm neutrals, custom headboard and bedside millwork, and textile selections that prioritise comfort and sensory quality create an environment that feels both luxurious and genuinely restful. The ensuite bathroom extends this sense of sanctuary with a material palette centred on natural stone and warm wood tones.

Each bathroom was individually designed as a composed interior, with tile selections, vanity millwork, and fixture specifications made as part of a coherent visual programme rather than as isolated choices.
