POND VIEW RESIDENCE

Large-Scale Renovation GTA · Custom Millwork · Custom Metal Design · Integrated LED Lighting

There are interiors that announce themselves the moment you cross the threshold, and then there are interiors that reveal themselves slowly — detail by detail, material by material — until you realise that what you are standing in is not simply a beautifully renovated home but a work of genuine craft. The Pond View Residence is unquestionably the latter. This large-scale renovation in the Greater Toronto Area is among the most technically ambitious projects Jessica Cinnamon Design has ever undertaken, and it stands as a defining example of what happens when custom millwork, precision metalwork, and integrated architectural lighting are designed as a single, unified system rather than separate decisions made in isolation.

The millwork throughout the Pond View Residence is extraordinary in both its scope and its execution. Every wall was treated as a design opportunity — a chance to bring depth, texture, and permanence to spaces that lesser renovations would have left flat and unresolved. Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry and built-in shelving systems were designed specifically for each room, with profiles, reveals, and proportions calibrated to the exact dimensions of every space. The craftsmanship is furniture-grade throughout: no pre-fabricated components, no stock profiles, and no compromise on the quality of finish. The result is a home that feels as though it was carved from the inside out rather than assembled.

What elevates the Pond View Residence into a category of its own, however, is the custom metal design work that appears throughout the interior as a deliberate and recurring design element. Custom-fabricated metal accents — in a warm, curated finish selected specifically to complement the broader material palette — appear in millwork inlays, decorative panels, staircase detailing, and architectural frames throughout the home. This is not metalwork as ornamentation in the conventional sense but metalwork as structure and identity — a material decision that gives the interior a specificity and a tension that no amount of stone or timber alone could achieve.

The integrated LED lighting strategy is the third pillar of this project and perhaps the most quietly powerful. Lighting was not specified after the fact but designed concurrently with the millwork and architecture, so that every shelf, every cabinet, every architectural recess, and every ceiling plane has a considered illumination strategy. The result is a home that transforms entirely as the light changes — warm and dramatic in the evening, clean and luminous during the day — with no visible fixtures interrupting the architectural lines. The lighting design alone would distinguish this project in any portfolio. Combined with the millwork and metal detailing, it makes the Pond View Residence one of the most cohesive and sophisticated large-scale renovation projects delivered by Jessica Cinnamon Design in the Greater Toronto Area.
