The Lytton Park Residence is unquestionably the latter — a 6,600 square foot custom new build home nestled in one of Toronto's most storied and sought-after neighbourhoods, designed by Jessica Cinnamon Design as the ultimate forever home for a discerning family who refused to compromise on a single detail.

From the very first conversation, it was clear that this project demanded something extraordinary. Our clients had a singular vision: a home that would feel both grand and deeply personal, timeless yet unmistakably of its moment, with every material and every decision made at the highest possible standard. They had found their forever home in Lytton Park — a neighbourhood defined by leafy canopies, architectural heritage, and the quiet confidence of one of Toronto's most prestigious addresses — and they trusted us to honour it fully.

The design philosophy for the Lytton Park Residence centres on materiality and restraint. Rather than filling the space with ornamentation, we let the quality of the materials speak. Rich marble surfaces — Calacatta and honed varieties chosen for their veining and warmth — appear throughout the home in ways that feel inevitable rather than deliberate. Custom warm wood millwork in cabinetry and floor-to-ceiling built-ins creates a counterpoint that prevents the palette from feeling cold Unlacquered brass hardware, selected sparingly across the home, catches the light without demanding attention. 

Custom millwork is the backbone of this interior. In a home of this scale — 6,600 square feet across multiple floors — the built-ins and bespoke cabinetry are what give each room its sense of purpose and permanence. The double-storey library is perhaps the most dramatic expression of this philosophy: floor-to-ceiling shelving in rich stained oak, a rolling library ladder, and a sense of hushed reverence that makes it feel like the intellectual heart of the home. It is the kind of room that makes you want to close the door, sit down, and stay.

The kitchen is a masterclass in luxury residential design executed with precision. Custom cabinetry in a warm tone is paired with thick marble countertops and a generous island that serves equally as a prep surface and a gathering point for the family. The integration of appliances is seamless — nothing interrupts the clean lines of the joinery. The adjacent breakfast area connects to the outdoor living spaces with an effortless flow that speaks to the careful spatial planning that began long before construction started. 

The primary suite occupies its own dedicated wing and was designed as a genuine sanctuary. A coffered ceiling, custom upholstered headboard wall, and generous walk-in wardrobe with bespoke storage solutions create an environment that rivals the finest hotel experiences while remaining unmistakably personal. Each of the four full ensuites throughout the home was individually designed — no two are the same, yet all speak the same visual language.

The lower level is a destination in its own right. A fully equipped home gym, a custom home theatre with tiered seating and acoustic wall panels, and generous storage throughout make this one of the most complete and livable luxury homes our studio has ever delivered. Every square foot was thoughtfully considered — even the laundry room was treated as a design opportunity, with custom cabinetry and a palette that continues the home's overall aesthetic.

The Lytton Park Residence was completed as a full-service interior design project by Jessica Cinnamon Design, encompassing architectural collaboration, construction design documentation, finish and material selection, custom millwork design, furniture specification, and complete furnishing and styling. It stands as one of our studio's most celebrated projects and a defining example of what luxury new build interior design in Toronto can look like when nothing is left to chance.
